BDCLS seeks to contribute to the health of NH residents and is tasked with identifying and limiting the spread of infectious diseases and threats of bio-terrorism. Through an extensive network established with local and state health officials and providers, BDCLS monitors the health of NH residents without compromising an individual's right to privacy.
BDCLS provides information and guidance to public and health officials on health issues ranging from influenza, tuberculosis and HIV, to the West Nile virus. Statistics obtained through BDCLS enable cities and towns to plan for future health and welfare programs. |
