New ESS service providers or service coordinators, students or others interested in learning more about the ESS program.
The Welcome to ESS orientation provides the basic information needed to be a service coordinator in the NH Part C of IDEA program in NH known as "Family Centered Early Supports and Services". It also introduces the participant to the concepts upon which the ESS program is based: family centeredness, the provision of services in natural environments, eligibility determination, the IFSP development process, and the transition process out of ESS when the child turns 3 years of age. Participants are asked to review the materials listed below prior to each session so that they are prepared to participate in the interactive discussions that will be facilitated during each day of the orientation.
"Model IFSP" This document contains all of the required components for an IFSP. Highlighted sections show the fields that are required to be entered into the NHSEIS data system.
