The Resident Assessment Tool (RAT) is used to assess the needs of residents in Assisted Living Facilities.
The RAT is completed prior to admission, every 6 months or when there is a significant change in the needs of the resident and is maintained in each resident's record at the Assisted Living Facility. The new Resident Assessment Tool is effective immediately. The old one will still be accepted until July 1, 2010.
