The Child Development Bureau is responsible for the management and coordination of child care services for DHHS and for initiating inter-agency and community-based activities to enhance early care and educational services and programs that promote healthy child development. The Child Development Bureau Fact Sheet (1 page) briefly describes the major program areas of the Bureau. CDB is responsible for the administration of the following primary program areas:
Subsidized child care services for employment support;
Federal Child Care and Development Fund;
Funding activities that promote safe and healthy learning environments;
NH Early Childhood Credentials; and
Head Start Collaboration.
