Applications for Child Care Providers

Owner:

The Bureau of Continuous Improvement & Integrity

Child Development Bureau

Effective Date:03/14/2006

Any NH licensed child care agency in good standing can apply for a licensed plus quality rating.  Two options are available to allow a wider range of programs achieve a Licensed Plus quality rating.

  • Option 1: allows programs that are interested in improving quality, but that may not be ready to seek accreditation, to be recognized for their documented efforts to achieve higher quality.

 - Option 1 Quality Standards (6 pages)

       - Application - Center Based Programs  (4 pages)

       - Application - Family Child Care Home  (4 pages)

       - Application - Family Group Child Care Home (2 pages)

  • Option 2: enables programs that are already engaged in meeting national quality standards to document that effort in lieu of documenting compliance with other specific Licensed Plus Standards.  Example:  A licensed program that can document application for and ongoing progress through the Head Start Federal Review Process, or one of the national accreditation processes.

- Option 2 Quality Standards (1page)

      - Application Licensed Plus (2 pages)
