The Child Development Bureau is seeking comments regarding the Child Care and Development Fund Plan for New Hampshire Federal Fiscal Year 2010-2011 draft.
Every two years, the Child Development Bureau is required to submit the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Plan, which provides details of the operation of both the child care scholarship program and the child care quality initiative funds. The Plan must include information regarding family eligibility determination for child care scholarship, as well as the child care provider payment system. In addition, the Plan must include how the State will expend targeted and discretionary funds to enhance access to and quality of child care programs. In 2007, the Federal Child Care Bureau rejected New Hampshire's CCDF Plan due to noncompliance issues. Since then, the Child Development Bureau, in collaboration with a public-private partnership, redesigned the child care scholarship program. This redesigned program is effective on June 29, 2009. In addition to the changes in the child care scholarship program, the Child Development Bureau plans significant changes in the child care quality initiatives it funds.
The comment period regarding the Plan draft closes on Friday, May 29, 2009. Please send written comments to: Ellen C. Wheatley, Ph.D., Administrator, Child Development Bureau, 129 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301 |
