Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) and rifampini are antibiotics given to prevent the spread of Meningococcal Disease caused by Neisseria Meningitidis.  

DHHS has prepared and published two fact sheets for patients regarding the use of these two drugs, their possible interaction with other drugs, and possible side effects.
