The Bureau of Behavioral Health (BBH) oversees NH funded behavioral and mental health services provided by community mental health agencies.  It is the mission of BBH to work collaboratively with people who receive services and by supporting a network of local community service proiders.  Two primary focus areas of BHH are Community Mental Health Services and Mental Health Emergency Services.

The Bureau of Developmental Services (BDS) works closely with individuals with acquired or developmental disabilities, their families and community supports to allow for independent living, whenever possible.  The primary service areas within BDS are:

The Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services (BEAS) provides a variety of social and long-term supports to adults age 60 and older and to adults between the ages of 18 and 60 who have a chronic illness or disability.  These services range from home care, meals on wheels, care management, transportation assistance and assisted living to nursing home care.  The primary service areas of BEAS are:
