Employment Assistance
The Division of Child Support Services in partnership with the Workforce Development Staff offers employment and support services for non-custodial parents who are having difficulty making child support payments. Participation by the responsible parent is usually voluntary, but occasionally is ordered by the court. DHHS District Office staff can explain this service to you.
Mediation Services
The Division of Child Support Services helps fund, through a federal grant, four court-based mediation programs to improve communication between parents with child support and/or visitation issues. These programs are currently available in Coos, Carroll, Cheshire and Merrimack counties. The programs in Carroll and Coos counties are administered by Tri-County Community Action, Inc.; in Merrimack County by the New Hampshire Mediation Program; and in Cheshire County by Monadnock Family Services, Inc. DHHS District Office staff can help explain this service also.
