Staff at DHHS District Offices and itinerant sites throughout NH can help individuals and families apply for DFA services.  You may print and complete an Application for Assistance prior to your visit and bring it with you.  Locations and mailing information are available by clicking on the Contact Info link above.

New Hampshire Employment Program (NHEP) and Food Stamp Program participants may also receive services from staff co-located at one of the 12 One Stop Training and Employment Centers managed by NH Employment Security. 

Some Medicaid assistance may also be accessed through health clinics, hospitals and the NH Healthy Kids Corporation.

You may request an Administrative Appeal hearing, if you disagree with any decision made in your case.  An Administrative Appeal allows you to have your case heard before an impartial person (a hearings officer) who will decide the outcome.   At the hearing, you can explain to a hearings officer why you disagree with the action taken. You should request a hearing as quickly as possible to protect your rights.  The Administrative Appeals brochure explains more about the Administrative Appeals process.
