All food service licenses are issued for a period of one year. Therefore, your food service license must be renewed prior to the expiration date of the license, one year after its issuance. |

| In addition to submitting an application with the appropriate fee, you are required to submit plans and specifications in duplicate to the Food Protection Program of all new or remodeled food service establishments or retail food stores prior to building or remodeling. |

| In addition to submitting a food service license application and appropriate fee, if you have a private water system you must submit a water test result taken within the last six months. You must also submit a request for construction approval for the septic system if you have a private septic system. |

| Jams and jellies can be processed in a home kitchen provided that a review of your scheduled process is conducted by a food processing authority. NH Administrative Rules for the Sanitary Production and Distribution of Food identify approved food processing authorities. |

No, temporary food service establishments are exempted from the requirement of obtaining a license. A temporary food service establishment is defined as "any food service establishment that operates at a fixed location for a temporary period of time not exceeding 2 weeks, in connection with a fair, carnival, circus, public exhibition, or similar transitory gathering." |

| Yes, they are required to be inspected and licensed in order to assure that the food being served is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner. |

Catering must be done in a commercial kitchen. All the requirements of a food service establishment apply. This includes, but is not limited to, a three-compartment sink, a hand-wash sink and NSF-approved refrigeration. You are also required to submit plans and specifications in duplicate to the Food Protection Program. |

| If you experience a fire, flood, electrical outage or similar emergency, you must contact the Food Protection Program. If the emergency occurs during the weekend, please call the Program and inform the operator that your emergency is food-related. |
