The NH Regional Health Profiles provide organizations and communities with information to support local efforts to assess the health and well-being of NH's population. Regional Health Profiles provide health and human service providers, policymakers and consumers with an overview of selected indicators on the demographics, health status, health behaviors and health system utilization of NH residents, in individual narratives for each of NH's 24 Health Care Service Areas (HCSA). They are also presented in tables and maps that allow for comparison to state-wide rates and other HCSA rates.
These profiles were developed in response to Senate Bill 183, passed by the Legislature in 1999, and require DHHS to:
assess the health status of NH residents on a continual basis; and
summarize and make public the results from these health assessments every two years.
The Profiles were also developed to support state and local implementation of HealthyNewHampshire2010 and the Community Benefits legislation (Senate Bill 69, 1999).
The NH Regional Health Profiles (RHP) and supporting documents are provided below in two groups. The first group contains the Preface and Introduction as well as the individual profiles for each of the 24 Health Service Areas. The second group contains related data and summary documents.
