The Primary Care Access Report: Assessing NH's Communities 1993-1997 (187 pages) presents the foundation for a statistical health needs assessment of NH's communities. It is based on the premise that a complete assessment of community needs begins with a dissection of health indicators, such as death rates and utilization rates by time, space and by their major demographic determinants: age and gender. This report helps communities to describe their own problems and successes, to define the issues and to make sense of the information regarding health status and health utilization available from DHHS.
