NH was awarded the title of Healthiest State in the Nation for the year 2000 by the Morgan Quitno Press. Many of the factors used to rank the states included data from calendar year 1998 and are presented in this report. In addition, this report contains much information of interest to researchers, health and community planners, students, as well as the general public. Detailed discussions are found at the beginning of each data section. The New Hampshire Vital Statistics Report, 1998 (118 pages) summarizes the collection of data for NH residents including births, deaths, infant deaths, fetal deaths, marriages and divorces occurring in NH and these events that occur out-of-state for NH residents in 1998.
