The Environmental Public Health Tracking Program (EPHT) is a cooperative program between NH Department of Health and Human Services and NH Department of Environmental Services (DES) funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The State EPHT Program is developing a secure web-based network to provide access to linked environmental and health data to ensure informed decision-making by everyone working to improve the health of New Hampshire residents.
Examples of environmental public health information that will be available on the EPHT network include:
- Fact sheets about environmental public health issues, such as radon gas and lung cancer, air quality and its impact on asthma and cardiovascular health, and arsenic in drinking water and its impact on health
- Community-level Environmental Health Profiles of towns, cities and regions
- Issue-specific Data Profiles for priority health concerns, like asthma and cancer, and environmental issues, such as air quality, climate, and water quality
- Population-level death and disease data
- Population-level environmental data
- Local-level environmental and public health data, when available
- Links to other sources of environmental and public health data and information
