Welcome to the Immunization Program
 

The mission of the Immunization Program is to reduce or eliminate all vaccine preventable diseases.  There are approximately 342,000 children under age 19 in NH for whom vaccine is provided through this program.  The program also promotes immunization initiatives for children and adults to assure the opportunity for a lifetime of protection from vaccine preventable diseases.

Immunization of children for selected diseases is required for school and day care entry in accordance with NH Statutes.  These laws currently require immunizations for the following diseases:

 

  • Diphtheria
  • HIB (Haemophilus influenzae Type b) required for child care only
  • Hepatitis B
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Pertussis
  • Polio
  • Rubella
  • Tetanus
  • Varicella
