The Burea of Homeless and Housing Services - Assists homeless families and indviduals in obtaining permanent housing by providing guarantees of rental security deposits and/or first month rent to eligible people.
The Homeless Housing Access and Revolving Loan Fund provides guarantees of rental security deposits and/or first months rent to eligible homeless individuals or families unable to provide sufficient funds for security deposits and/or first month rents.
Eligibility requirements for these services:
- An applicant must have no permanent address and be temporarily residing in a shelter for the homeless, a hotel or motel, the home of another household designed for occupancy by only one household, or entirely without shelter.
- Applicants must demonstrate an ability to make payments or installments.
- The landlord must be willing to accept a guarantee certificate in lieu of any other security deposit
