The Bureau of Elderly & Adult Services (BEAS), within the Division of Community Based Care Services, provides assistance and resources to help families and aging adults.  Services available include those that promote independence within the home, such as Meal on Wheels; residential care and support services within congregate communities, and 24 hour assisted living and nursing home care.

The Communicable Disease Control & Surveillance (CDCS) unit, within the Division of Public Health Services,  provides educational information and answer questions about communicable diseases.  CDCS also accept reports of infectious or communicable diseases.

4.  Where can I apply for services and find support information for people with developmental disabilities?Back to top

The Bureau of Developmental Services (BDS), within the Division of Community Based Care Services, works collaboratively with  individuals, families and community agencies to provide services in twelve regions of NH.  This system of community supports allows local access to services to help individuals live productive lives within their communities.

5.  Who is eligible to receive services from the Division for Children, Youth and Families?Back to top

The Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) manages protective programs on behalf of NH's children, youth and their families. Services are designed to support families and children in their own homes and communities whenever possible,  as long as safety is not an issue.  Eligibility for programs and services is based on many factors.  In some cases eligibility includes income and NH residency requirements while in other cases the need for protection is the only requirement.
