The Sexually Transmitted Diseases STD) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Prevention (HIV) Programs goals are to control and prevent sexually transmitted disease, reduce the burden and cost of these infections, provide counseling and testing for HIV services and prevention education and risk reduction.

HIV services include HIV counseling and testing, prevention education and risk reduction, partner counseling and referral services, and support to the HIV Prevention Planning Group.  STD services include prevention, screening, treatment, and infertility prevention.
