Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in substance abuse counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, or human services. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience:
Three years' experience associated with a substance abuse program as a counselor or as a member of a treatment team engaged in substance abuse prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Special Requirements:
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Preference will be given to applicants with college degrees and experience in substance abuse counseling and applicants that are Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADCs).
