REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION
We are unable to provide any information over the telephone, including confirmation of whether or not someone is, or is not, a patient here.
WHEN YOU VISIT
For the safety of our patients and staff all visitors will be required to go through the walk-through metal detector upon entering the building. All carried items including bags, briefcases, etc. will be subject to search. Then all visitors must check in with the Information Center located near the main entrance. If a staff member is not available in the Information Center, please check in at the Campus Police window also located near the main entrance.
All visitors must provide the first and last name of the person they wish to visit, and the name of the unit, if possible.
Visitors must present a photo identification (driver’s license, non-driver’s license, school ID, etc.), and will be issued a visitor identification badge. If a visitor does not have photo identification, the visitor will be directed to Campus Police to determine whether or not a visit will be allowed.
Visitors who wish to drop off or deliver items for patients must ask the Information Center to call the unit and ask for a staff member to come to the lobby to receive the delivery. The Information Center cannot hold patient or visitor’s belongings.
Pay telephones for visitor use are located in the APS lobby. Telephone numbers may be obtained from the Information Center.
NH Hospital is a Smoke Free facility and we do not allow smoking on the grounds.
The use of cameras or camera phones for the purpose of taking photographs is prohibited, and any audio or video recordings are not allowed.
Alcoholic beverages of any kind, illegal or over-the-counter medications and anything that could be used as a weapon is prohibited.
Please do not bring any items made of glass, ceramic or metal, with sharp edges, matches, lighters, cutting implements such as knives scissors, nail clippers, disposable razors or blades, or any other article that may be dangerous to patients. These items will be turned over to Campus Police as contraband.
