Division of Family Assistance (DFA)
The Division of Family Assistance (DFA) administers programs and services for eligible NH residents by providing financial, medical, food & nutritional assistance, help with child care costs and emergency help to obtain and keep safe housing. Family Services Specialists (FSS) determine initial and continuing eligibility and the amount of benefits, and benefits are delivered using federal and NH guidelines and policies.
DFA offers an easy, fast, and private way to look at and manage your benefits online through the new and improved NH EASY Gateway to Services, New Hampshire's online Electronic Application System. NH EASY Gateway to Services includes the same services previously available on NH EASY while offering new service options, increased account management, and a responsive web design that is easy to navigate whether on a computer, tablet or smart phone. NH EASY Gateway to Services makes it easy to apply for services such as Medicaid, Food Stamps and Cash Benefits, manage accounts and learn about additional services that are available.
