703.23 Notice of Decision (NOD) (FAM)

New HEIGHTS issues automated notices for all EA permanent housing services other than multiple security deposits.

For each subsequent security deposit request authorized during the 12-month period, send a manual * Notice of Decision (NOD) within 15 working days from the date the application was filed in the District Office.

Include all the following on the NOD:

• the eligibility decision;

• the type and amount of any assistance approved;

• an explanation of how an approved amount was computed, if it is less than the amount requested;

• the reason for a denial; and

• Form 810, Rights and Responsibilities.
