705.01 Outstanding Expenses Covered by Last Payment (FAM)

When a deceased casehead of a FANF financial assistance groups last payment is returned (see PART  705, DECEASED RECIPIENTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE), payment of outstanding recipient expenses that meet all criteria below may be approved by the State Office Finance Unit:

the expenses were incurred during that part of the month which preceded the death; and

the expenses would have been covered by the returned payment.

Expenses are paid directly to a vendor via a paper check issued outside of New HEIGHTS*. Contact the State Office Finance Unit for further instructions regarding any expenses that meet the above criteria.
