808.01 Initial Assessment (FAM)

During an applicants eligibility determination interview for FANF, if the applicant is determined to be eligible for FANF the interviewer will ask the individual during the interview " barrier questions" this is done to assist the NHEP representative in preparing for the individuals initial assessment. 

If the individual is determined eligible for financial assistance and is also determined mandatory to participant in NHEP, the applicant must participate in an initial assessment with the NHEP representative at one of the Service Determination Appointment (SDA).
