127.03 Failure to Appear for an Interview (FSM)

If the individual fails to appear for an interview deny the application according to the following chart.

 

If by the 30th day after the file date...

 

Then...

the applicant has not requested another appointment…

…deny the application.

 

the applicant has requested another appointment…

 

• …use DFA Form 807 or New HEIGHTS-generated CS0001 to reschedule the appointment, and

• …hold the application open even if the appointment is after the 30th day.

 

If the applicant...

 

Then...

misses the appointment…

…deny the application on the 30th day or the day of the appointment, if the appointment was scheduled after the 30th day.

 

keeps the appointment, and the appointment is on or before the 20th day after the application date…

 

• …follow pending information policy (see PART 129), and

• …ensure benefits are *issued by the 28th day after the application date.

 

keeps the appointment, and the appointment is after the 20th day…

 

• …allow the individual 10 days to provide needed information

• …if information is received by the tenth day following the appointment, do the following:

- if the individual is not eligible, deny the application by the 30th day after the application date (or on the same day information is received if after the 30th day).

- if the individual is eligible, ensure benefits are *issued by the 28th day after the application date (if not possible, complete a manual issuance on the day the individual provides the needed information).

• …if the information is not received by the tenth day, deny the application the following work day.
