145.13 Prison Match (FSM)

The State must seek to clarify and verify unclear information received outside the certification period when the Department receives unclear information from the Prisoner Match Report.  

Federal regulations require that the State establish a matching system to ensure that SNAP benefits are not issued to individuals who are incarcerated for more than 30 days.  Incarceration includes local, state, and federal facilities.  Information on incarcerated individuals is received from the Social Security Administration.  This information is not considered verified upon receipt.
