163 TERMINATION OF ASSISTANCE (FSM)

Terminate assistance for individuals who no longer meet the eligibility requirements for the type of assistance they are receiving. If the individual may be eligible for another category of assistance administered by the Department, advise the individual and determine eligibility for that assistance, if requested.

Document all decisions to terminate assistance.

Food Stamp benefits terminate automatically at the end of the certification period, unless the individual has been recertified in time to ensure uninterrupted benefits.
