237.03 Buying Meals (FSM)

Residents of a shelter for battered women and children may use their Food Stamp benefits to buy meals prepared for them at the shelter if the shelter is approved by FNS.

If the shelter is not approved by FNS to redeem Food Stamp benefits as a food wholesaler, the household may request that all of its allotment be issued in $1 denominations. If the household requests $1 denominations, contact the DHHS Supervisor for guidance.
