237.07 Determining Eligibility (FSM)

Determine eligibility for residents in shelters for battered women and children based on their income, resources, and expenses for which they are responsible, without regard to the income, resources, and expenses of their former household.

Exclude as inaccessible resources held jointly with members of the former household, unless an agreement exists at application which gives the shelter resident safe access to the resources.

Treat room payments made by the battered woman and children to the facility as shelter expenses.
