Households which have transferred resources knowingly to qualify for Food Stamps are disqualified from participation in the program.
The length of the disqualification is determined by the amount of true resources (resources prior to any illegitimate transfer) in excess of the limit. See the chart below.
The disqualification period of an applicant household begins in the month of application.
The disqualification period of a participating household begins with the first allotment issued after the notice of adverse action has expired, unless the household has requested an administrative appeal and continued benefits.
