701.07 Addicts and Alcoholics in Treatment Programs (FSM)

Individuals may use food stamps to purchase meals prepared for them during the course of a drug addiction or alcoholism treatment and rehabilitation program, when both the following conditions are true:

• the individuals are regular participants in such programs, and

• the program is administered by a private nonprofit organization or an institution approved by FNS to accept coupons.

Individuals may also use food stamps to purchase meals prepared for their children who reside with them provided both the above conditions are true.
