307.01 Eligibility Within Institutions SR 94-04, 04/94 (FSM-A)

Individuals are residents of an institution when the institution provides them with more than half of their meals as part of normal monthly services, and the institution has not been authorized to accept coupons.

Residents of institutions are not eligible for food coupons.

Exceptions:

. residents of federally subsidized housing for the elderly built under either Section 202 of the Housing Act of 1959 or Section 236 of the National Housing Act.

. narcotic addicts or alcoholics who reside in a facility for the purposes of receiving treatment.

. homeless households residing in shelters.

. residents of shelters for battered women and children.

. recipients of Medicaid-covered Home and Community-Based Care for the Elderly and Chronically Ill.

. blind or disabled individuals receiving RSDI or SSI payments and residing in a public or private nonprofit group living arrangement serving 16 or fewer residents and certified under Section 1616(e) of the Social Security Act.
