315.05 Sanctions/Disqualifications for Voluntary Quit SR 16-16 Dated 07/16

If an individual voluntarily quits a job without good cause within *30 days preceding the application, or has voluntarily reduced work hours without good cause , and, after the reduction, is working less than 30 hours per week while receiving benefits, impose the minimum mandatory sanction effective with the date of application. The individual is temporarily disqualified for Food Stamp benefits for:

·         1 month for the first violation; or

·         3 months for the second violation; or

·         6 months for the third and subsequent violations.

If the quit is discovered during participation in the program, the same penalties apply starting from the date the voluntary quit was discovered.
