319 FUGITIVE FELONS AND VIOLATORS OF PROBATION OR PAROLE (FSM) SR 97-08 Dated 03/97

Food Stamps must not be provided to known fugitive felons, and violators of probation or parole. A fugitive felon is an individual who runs away to avoid prosecution, or custody or confinement for a crime, or attempts to commit a crime that is a felony under the law of the place from which the individual is fleeing. A violator of probation or parole is an individual who is violating a condition or probation or parole imposed under a Federal or State law. Note: In New Jersey a "high misdemeanor" is the classification equivalent to a "felony".
