707.01 Mailing Addresses SR 94-04, 04/94 (FSM-A)

The Postal Service delivers food stamp envelopes to home addresses. Benefits may be sent to a post office box or to a general delivery address, but only if one of the following is true:

• home delivery of mail is not available where the recipient lives, or

• mail pilferage is an extensive problem in the recipients area.

Determine whether the recipient has a valid reason for use of a post office box or general delivery address.
