Net Earned Income - An individual's monthly gross earned income minus all allowable employment-related disregards, if disregards are allowed. Also known as net monthly earned income.

Net Income - Gross income minus all allowable income disregards and deductions.

Non-Filer - For the MAGI categories of medical assistance, this means a person who does not expect or intend to file a federal tax return and 1) does not expect to be claimed by a tax dependent by someone else, or 2) does not have a tax household, or 3) is a tax dependent who falls under one of the 3 tax dependent exceptions.

Nonliquid Asset - A resource which cannot be readily converted to cash, such as vehicles, buildings, or land.

Nonprofit Agency - An organization that Internal Revenue Service has determined to be tax-exempt.

Notice of decision (NOD) - A computer-generated or manually prepared form which advises individuals of the results of eligibility determinations, changes in the amount of assistance or level of eligibility, and any other changes required by policy.
