Mark Bussiere is Director of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Bureau of Human Resources. He joined DHHS in November of 2008. Mark oversees statewide human resource functioning at DHHS. His HR staff assists in all areas of HR: employee relations, recruitment, training and development, payroll, and health and safety. Prior to coming to DHHS, Mark’s work experience included management positions in service industries in public, private and not-for-profit organizations. Mark holds a degree in Business Administration from Plymouth State University.
Mark’s experience includes 14 years at the J. Jill Group in Tilton, New Hampshire where he most recently served as Operating VP of Human Resources. Here he was responsible for the full range of HR functions including recruitment, associate relations, benefits administration, HRIS management, organizational development, health and safety as well as serving on the Executive Committee. His prior experience includes 4 years at Unitil’s corporate office in Exeter, New Hampshire; 2 years at the corporate office of NH Insurance Company in Manchester, New Hampshire; and 9 years at the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester.
Mark’s community service includes past Board member for Community Health & Hospice in Laconia, New Hampshire, former state chairman of the New Hampshire Junior Miss Scholarship Program and past Board member of the Manchester Area Human Resources Association.
