____________________________________________________________
In addition to categorical and general requirements, an assistance group must meet financial eligibility requirements in order to receive assistance. Financial requirements are broken into two components:
. resources, and
. income. See Chapter500 , Income.
An assistance group which meets the income requirements is income-eligible. An assistance group which meets the resource requirements is resource-eligible. The assistance group is considered financially eligible if both income and resource requirements are met. Chapter600 , Standards and Budgets, explains income limits and budgeting procedures for the various programs and coverage groups.
