Crisis Intervention Services

When you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is just a phone call away. Emergency mental health services are available in your local community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All NH citizens experiencing psychiatric distress are eligible to call. If you are dealing with an immediate crisis, please:

  • Call your existing mental health provider;
  • Contact your local community mental health center Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol, all ten (10) locations across the state have emergency services; or
  • Call the statewide suicide prevention lifeline at 1-800-273-talk (1-800-273-8255).

Emergency services are available to anyone in the state who is at risk of harm to themselves or others, or is experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Services can be provided over the phone or in person by a mental health professional. Emergency services are often the gateway to further services following the initial contact.
