In Home Support Waiver Renewal – Public Comment Notice
Notice is hereby given that the DHHS is seeking public input on the In-Home Support Waiver renewal application. New Hampshire’s Department of Health and Human Services requests your input as the Bureau of Developmental Services (BDS) concludes the In Home Support (IHS) Waiver renewal process. Every five years the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) requires that the states renew their Home and Community Based Care 1915 (c) waivers.

The In Home Support (IHS) Waiver provides an array of in home supports and services to New Hampshire’s eligible children. The waiver is a participant directed and managed waiver meaning eligible individuals and or their guardians/families have the ability to move funds within an established budget to meet their unique needs, within service limitations as specified by waiver and or state regulation (see He-M 524: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rules/state_agencies/he-m500.html).

DHHS would like your comments about the changes it is proposing in the draft 1915 (c) In Home Support (IHS) Waiver. After receiving the public’s ideas and comments about the proposed changes, DHHS will make final decisions about what changes to make to the In Home Support Waiver renewal application and then submit to CMS. The summary of comments will be posted for public viewing, along with the waiver application when it is submitted to CMS.

30-Day Public Comment Period
The 30-day public comment period for the In-Home Support Waiver is from Monday, March 16, 2020 until Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 12 Noon (Eastern). All comments must be received by 12 Noon (Eastern) on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
