Important Notice to DHHS Customers:
While the risk for widespread community transmission of COVID-19 in New Hampshire remains low, the priority of the Department of Health and Human Services is to ensure the health and safety of all those we serve. In an effort to slow the spread of illness, beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice, the Bureau of Family Assistance, the Bureau of Child Support Services, and the Bureau of Employment Supports will be conducting all interviews by phone. If you have questions any about an upcoming appointment, please contact the Customer Services Center at 1-844-275-3447.

healthy lunchThe Bureau of Family Assistance (BFA) administers programs and services for eligible NH residents by providing financial, medical, food & nutritional assistance, help with child care costs and emergency help to obtain and keep safe housing. Family Services Specialists (FSS) determine initial and continuing eligibility and the amount of benefits, and benefits are delivered using federal and NH guidelines and policies.

BFA offers an easy, fast, and private way to look at and manage your benefits online through the new and improved NH EASY Gateway to Services, New Hampshire's online Electronic Application System. NH EASY Gateway to Services includes the same services previously available on NH EASY while offering new service options, increased account management, and a responsive web design that is easy to navigate whether on a computer, tablet or smart phone. NH EASY Gateway to Services makes it easy to apply for services such as Medicaid, Food Stamps and Cash Benefits, manage accounts and learn about additional services that are available.
