NHIIS Information for Healthcare Providers

NHIIS is a secure, web-based tool that helps healthcare providers in following ways:

  • NHIIS is available to healthcare providers at no cost.
  • NHIIS can assess patients' immunization needs by recommending missed and future immunization.
  • NHIIS keeps a patient’s consolidated history of immunizations received from multiple healthcare providers.
  • Healthcare providers can create reminder/recall lists of patients past-due for vaccines.
  • Helps healthcare providers to order vaccines, manage inventory, and run reports.

Training Opportunities
Training Needed for Providers Ordering COVID-19 Vaccine Only

We are pleased to announce that you will soon be able to order COVID-19 vaccine through the New Hampshire Immunization Information System (NHIIS).

In order for you to gain access to vaccine ordering within the NHIIS, you must first complete the required training through the CDC’s TRAIN platform. The training should take about 30 minutes and is an interactive E-learning course designed to provide effective Just In Time (JIT) training during the pandemic.

If you do not already have access to TRAIN, please follow the steps outlined below to create an account Once you have created your TRAIN account and completed the training (“NHIIS COVID-19 Vaccine Ordering & Management”) you will be required to complete a post-test and a course evaluation before printing your certificate of completion.

Training needed for Providers ordering VFC & 317 vaccines

Please Note: NHIIS Training is mandatory for all new and existing users of the existing legacy IIS (VaxNH) system. User must take all required sections of training and successfully pass the quiz to become an authorized user of NHIIS.

NHIIS is planning to provide relevant, up-to-date training and resources for providers and users to successfully manage and operate NHIIS. We will be providing learning opportunities utilizing several platforms: CDC TRAIN; online Learning Management System (LMS); live webinars; and, on-site training presentations.
NHIIS will also release several help guides to support users to perform daily activities within NHIIS.

In order for you to gain access to NHIIS, you must first complete the required training through the CDC’s TRAIN platform. The training is an interactive E-learning course designed to provide effective and detailed instruction on how to use NHIIS.

If you do not already have access to TRAIN, please follow the steps outlined below to create an account. Once you have created your TRAIN account and completed the trainings (“a. Vaccine Ordering & Inventory in the NHIIS: Course # 202102”; and, “b. Patient & Vaccine Information in the NHIIS: Course #202103”), you will be required to complete a post-test and a course evaluation before printing your certificate of completion. Please send your completed certificate to nhiis.support@dhhs.nh.gov with subject line “General NHIIS Training Certificate”.
