311.23 Good Cause: Notifying the Bureau of Child Support Services (BCSS) (FAM)

Notify BCSS of all good cause claims and decisions by doing the following:

·       Scan BFA Form 754B, Good Cause Claim for Non-Cooperation with Child Support, and DCSS Form 725. Application for Child Support Services, into the client’s electronic case file, when the forms are completed.

·        Upon receiving Form 754B, BCSS will suspend all child support activity until a decision has been reached on the claim.

·        When the final decision has been made on the good cause claim by the BFA Supervisor, prepare and scan BFA Form 780, Good Cause Decision Sheet, with copies of the supporting documentation, into the client’s electronic case file.

·        Finally, prepare, scan, and send BFA Form 781, Good Cause Claim/FVO Decision, to the client.

 

New HEIGHTS shares scanned information associated with Child Support Services through "OnBase," the BCSS electronic case management system, as the shared documents are released. The shared information may include:

·         DCSS Form 725, Application for Child Support Services;

·         BFA Form 754B, Good Cause Claim for Non-Cooperation with Child Support;

·         DCSS Form S637, Safeguard Request;

·         BFA Form 754C, Request for Family/Domestic Violence Option;

·         BFA Form 780, Good Cause Decision Sheet;

·         the child’s birth certificate; and

·         the FFANF client’s family/domestic violence (FDV) statement.

Each morning, OnBase will list any new information that has been electronically sent from New HEIGHTS.
