309.05 Responsibility of the Individual Controlling the Income of a Resident in an LTC Facility (MAM)

The person who has control over the income (retirement income, pension, Social Security, etc.) of a resident of a long-term care (LTC) facility, is responsible for paying the resident’s patient liability at the LTC facility, per RSA 151-E:19,IV. If the person fails to pay the LTC facility the amount of the resident’s patient liability, that person is held personally liable for those unpaid costs.
