309 LIABILITY FOR SUPPORT FOR RESIDENTS OF NURSING AND ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES (MAM)

RSA 151-E: 19 allows an assisted living facility or nursing home to pursue recovery of care costs from entities or certain people in specific circumstances. This action might be taken if:

. Medicaid cannot pay for a resident's care because the application for Medicaid is not made in a timely manner; or

. If there was a transfer of the resident's assets (money, land, buildings or other assets defined by Medicaid) within the five-year Medicaid look-back period.
