CORRECTIVE PAYMENTS (MAM)

A payment of money by DHHS to a recipient who received less than they were entitled to receive as a result of an administrative error.

Treatment: Countable resource in the second month following the month of receipt. Count only the remaining balance.

Example: An individual received a corrective payment in March. Any remaining balance is not considered a resource in April. However, if any balance remains from the payment in May, count the balances as a resource.
