Individuals requesting any category of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), including HCBS Choices for Independence (HCBS-CFI), may be eligible for HCBS medical services only via the income limits specified below, when the assistance group (AG) meets all the eligibility requirements for a category of BFA financial or medical assistance, except for income.

 

Individuals eligible for HCBS via the income limit below are eligible for medical assistance only and are considered an AG of 1, even if their spouse lives with them. See PART 253Assistance Group Composition for HCBS-DD/ABD/IHS, and Section 255.03HCBS-CFI Medical Assistance.

Gross monthly income must be less than or equal to the Nursing Facility "CAP" of $2,829.

Net income must be less than or equal to the PIL. Compare net income to the PIL for In and Out MA if net income exceeds the PIL.
