Who will get Health Insurance Coverage in the Premium Assistance Program?
All persons in the NH Health Protection Program from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2018 will participate in the Premium Assistance Program unless they are Medically Frail or they are receiving health insurance through their employer and already participate in the Health Insurance Premium Program.

The Premium Assistance Program is being replaced by the Granite Advantage Program beginning on January 1, 2019. Granite Advantage will continue to provide health care coverage for low income New Hampshire residents ages 19 through 64.

Members enrolled in one of the three commercial Qualified Health Plans (QHP) listed below will have their QHP coverage terminated on December 31, 2018 and transition to one the NH Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, New Hampshire Healthy Families or the Well Sense Health Plan, beginning on January 1, 2019.

  • Ambetter, from New Hampshire Healthy Families
  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Harvard Pilgrim Health Care of New England
