Medicare Part D
Medicare Part D, the prescription drug benefit, is available to all people who have Medicare Part A or Part B, or both regardless of income.

How you will receive your prescription drug benefits

Medicare will contract with private prescription drug plans. Every Medicare beneficiary will have a choice of prescription plans that offer various types of coverage.

Need Help with Choosing a Plan?

The following Customer Services Center is provided to help you choose a Medicare prescription drug plan that is right for you. All services are free and confidential. To better serve you with choosing a plan, complete the Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage Work Sheet Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol.

Extra help is available

One in three people with Medicare qualify for extra help that will cover between 85% and 98% of the cost for their drugs. Most people who are eligible for this extra help will pay no premiums, no deductibles, and no more than $5.35 for each prescription.

If you receive both Medicare & Medicaid (Dual Eligible)

Medicare will automatically select and enroll individuals who have both Medicare and NH Medicaid into a prescription drug plan. It is recommended that these plans be reviewed to ensure that all prescription needs are met, such as current prescriptions, co-pay costs and pharmacy locations. A new plan that provides better coverage may be selected at anytime. NH Medicaid coverage for other medical expenses, such as doctor and hospital bills will not change.
